FIRST VICE COMMANDER:
I am an Air Force veteran from the Viet Nam war and I am your new 1st
Vice. Don't hold it against me that we did not have it too rough in the war. We all had different things to do to win the war or at least be successful in accomplishing our country's mission. I hope we all keep this in mind as we try to accomplish the mission of The American Legion. We need the Army and Marines and Navy and Coast Guard and my fellow Air force buddies. We sometimes need to put our personal agendas aside and through constant communication remain successful. Come to the post and introduce yourself and shake my hand. I will be working hard to maintain the membership and recruit new members. I will always need your ideas, involvement and constant help.
I am always approachable. If you know any veterans or their families that need assistance let the Post know. You can call me anytime at 952-906-2132. We want to thank Dave Ziegler for the many years he put in as 1st Vice Commander. We ended the 2011 year with 401 members. Not quite to our goal but a good effort. We need to do better this coming year. Remember our Membership Picnic on August 6th. Come in and renew your membership if you have not already and get the "Early Bird" stamp and become eligible for a free meal at the post dinner. Bring your family and enjoy some great entertainment and food and maybe some good war stories. We will also be able to plasticize your card to keep nice and pretty.
You are why the Legion exists
1st Vice Commander
