COMMANDER:

Hello again, have you checked out the new website yet? Go to www.chesterbird.com and click on the sign up to receive your newsletter by e-mail, meaning you will no longer get it by postal delivery.

You still have till March 10th to get your Girl Scout cookie's for the Troops order in. Sign up is on the Commander’s board at the Post.

It's the Legion's turn in March to host Taco Thursdays, so if you want to help the sign up sheet is on the Commander’s board.

Friday March 12th  from 6-8 pm it's the LEGION CHARCOAL GRILLED STEAK FRY with baked potato, mushrooms, dinner roll and SALAD BAR $9.00.

Sunday March 14th from 9-1pm it's the LEGION FAMILY STEAK & EGG BREAKFAST with American fries, toast, juice and coffee $6.00.

March 15th -17th (1919) the American Legion was founded, Happy Birthday to us.

Mark your calendar for Saturday August 14th its Legion Family Day at the Oakland versus Twins game at 6:10 pm. If we get enough interest maybe we can get a bus. Sign up sheet is on the Commanders board.

In closing lets not forget our troops in harms way. They need our continued support. May the "FORCE" be with them.

Thank you for your support.

Commander,
George Jansen

AUXILIARY:

Spring is in the air, I can feel it.

At our last Unit meeting we voted on sponsoring two girls for The Girls State Program. We also voted on a $500.00 donation for a program with service dogs to help Veterans.

Mark your calendar for March 21st, the Auxiliary is hosting a Pancake and sausage breakfast. All the pancakes you can eat for $5.00.
Our Auxiliary year is winding down, please remember to get to me any volunteer hours/projects that you have done thru out the year. Our Unit gets credit for this.
Our meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM, please plan on attending.

Peace to all.
President,
Kerri Anderson
