Our Post Color Guard along with the Auxiliary and SAL led off the Robbinsdale Whiz Bang Parade (they looked sharp). Thanks to all who marched, those who furnished or drove parade vehicles, the Legion Riders and those who transported and shuttled parade personnel and also Tom Skalberg the organizer.

FIRST VICE COMMANDER:

As you know the 2011 membership cards have been mailed to you last week, the amazing thing is that I have received over 75 renewals already. What a great way to start the new year. Our membership picnic will be on Aug 7th and the meal is free to members that have paid their 2011 dues. I will be taking dues and issuing new cards starting at 1:00 P.M. so come down to the post and renew, save the postage for you and the post and have a free picnic meal.  Our post was one of the very few that meet its member ship goal last year and that is the second year in a row so lets do it again. We have so many great programs supported by our members including the sponsorship of two Legion Baseball teams, Boys State, Girls State, Veterans homes,  American Legion Riders and the list goes on and on. We can not do these things unless we have the membership to support them and that's why your membership is so important. If you were at the Memorial Day parade you saw your Post in action. Two of our members put up all the flags along the route and many marched and carried the Colors, another member built the podium and about 3,000 people attended so be proud of your membership in the Legion.

God Bless Our Troops and Their Families!

First Vice Commander,
Dave Ziegler
